OMHOF to host “JPB’s Anything Goes” featuring Bo Phillips and Mo McCann

Muskogee, Okla. – The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame will feature Bo Phillips and Mo McCann in another installment of JPB’s Anything Goes Thursday, June 29 at 8 pm at the Frisco Depot, 401 S. 3rd in Muskogee.

This will be the first “Anything Goes” that features three SE Oklahoma country boys. Bo hails from Buffalo Valley while Mo and JPB used to honky tonk and play a lot of hillbilly music in nearby Clayton. Then Bo and Mo began working together recently, so it ends up as a big ole reunion.
Hailing from Stillwater, Oklahoma, Bo Phillips brings an eclectic variety of musical influences with him to the stage. His debut album, “Dirt Road”, features all original music, and three top 40 songs on the Texas charts. You will hear soulful ballads, gritty lead rides, toe-tapping favorites, and a couple of funny moments.
Born in Houston, Texas, Bo and his two brothers (Stephan Phillips and Stoney LaRue) were raised by their grandparents in southeastern Oklahoma. Upon graduation, Bo moved to Stillwater and received his degree in agricultural education from Oklahoma State University. He then began his career as a high school agriculture teacher. After teaching for six years, he decided it was time to pursue his lifelong dream… music.
He got his first guitar when he was nine years old. It came with a chord book that showed three chords. “The rest, I learned from watching Austin City Limits.” He played all his life, but never took it seriously until he moved to Stillwater and was immersed in the culture. And as with all his shows, “You’ll pay for the whole seat, but you’ll only need the edge.”

Doors open at 7:30, show starts at 8 pm. Admission is $5 and all ages are welcome!

The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday 10-5 pm. “Live at the Frisco Depot” is presented every Thursday night at 8 pm and features local, regional and national musical acts. For OMHOF’s upcoming events, “like” the OMHOF Facebook page and visit
