The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame will host a celebratory concert and induction ceremony at Hatbox Field on June 14, 2017—preceding the second annual G Fest Muskogee music festival. The induction ceremony and concert will feature performances by many of the honored artists.
This year’s inductees include pioneer of Red Dirt music, Jimmy LaFave; country music singer and songwriter, Carl Belew; musician and actor, Rodney Lay; red dirt music torchbearers, the Red Dirt Rangers; Grammy Award winning musician, David Teegarden Sr.; and singer and harmonica player, Jimmy “Junior” Markham.
The induction will be at the Hangar at Hatbox Field on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 beginning at 7:00 p.m. Ceremonial video bios begin at 8:00 p.m. An after party with Tulsa Playboys begins at 10:00 p.m.
The induction is a separate, ticketed event, however, all G Fest 3-day ticket holders and volunteers are invited to the after party.
The celebration comes in advance of the second annual G Fest Muskogee music festival which takes over Hatbox Field on multiple stages from June 15-17, 2017.
