Oklahoma Rising Star Showcase to be held at OMHOF – benefit for CASA

Muskogee, Okla. – Oklahoma Rising Star Showcase to benefit Child Abuse Prevention (CASA), April 27, 2017 at 7 pm at the Frisco Depot, 401 S. 3rd, in Muskogee.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteers are everyday members of the community that are specially trained and appointed by judges to advocate for children’s best interests in court. These volunteers are appointed to one child or sibling group, and speak to any and all relevant contacts in their lives, such as teachers, foster parents and therapists. CASA volunteers come from all walks of life and backgrounds, but all have one thing in common – a passion for helping children.

The concert will feature the group Guitars Gone Wild, guest artist Sophie Lee Fan – Violinist, along with many young and upcoming music artists/talent from Oklahoma.Guitars Gone Wild is a Jazz Rock Fusion group that has rocked out audiences in Oklahoma and around the nation. GGW has played the Tulsa Historical Society, Mayfest, Enid Blues Festival, Southern Hills Country Club, Tulsa PAC (Brown Bag It), Dog Days Festival and The Roxy in Muskogee. The band is: Joesf Glaude – Classical Guitarist/James Ruggles – Violinist, Johnny Beard – Flamenco Guitarist, Amy Sebran – Folk Singer-Guitarist.

 Doors open at 6:30, show starts at 7 pm. Admission is $5 and donations are welcome!

The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday 10-5 pm. “Live at the Frisco Depot” is presented every Thursday night at 7 pm and features local, regional and national musical acts.
